Superb

Beautiful location, lovely rooms and very nice staff.

Mt Morgan Visit

Easy booking hosts were friendly and the grounds were amazing

So clean, so friendly and definitely worth going to.

It’s the second time we have stayed here. The amenities are so clean and well maintained. The grounds are so interesting and full of old treasures and the owners are really friendly and helpful. It’s a shame Mount Morgan has very little to offer but staying in this van park for a few days is worth it.

Superb

Friendly welcoming owners. My little cabin was perfect for my one night stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome

Good value , exceptionally clean , maintained well , personal touches

Exceptional

Location. Cleanliness. Comfortable bed. Beautiful touches like flowers from the flowering Calistimon. Friendliness of owners.

Passable

The big veranda and colourful bed spreads

Enjoyed a very welcome stay with some unique aspects of personalized service

Highly personalized service .Room size and unique support given by owners

You will not want to leave!!

Just spent the long weekend at Mount Morgans Silver Wattle Caravan Park! Dave & Debbies hospitality and friendship were second to none. Our daughter and their daughter played constantly. The park is very neat and tidy. Amenities are very clean. nHappy Hour or should we say Happy Hours by the fire is so much fun! We were sad to leave. The park and the town of Mount Morgan are very dog friendly at markets, pubs and the recreation areas like No. 7 Dam (Big Dam). Highly recommended!!!

Would stay again and recommend to anyone requiring a cabin in Mt Morgan

Debie & Dave went out of their way to ensure everything was to our liking and that we enjoyed ourselves

Clean, cozy and welcoming

Absolutely loved staying here. We arrived late and exhausted and were immediately welcomed, enjoyed the scenery and the cabins were top notch with room to chat and catch up on the verandah. Will definitely be back as we couldn’t see it all in one night!

The lack of food prep and serving items was surprising and inconvenient

The park is welcoming and tidy. The cleanliness is superior to other similar places. Bottled water on arrival was appreciated.

Lovely, clean and interesting caravan park

Lovely park with great staff. Loved the gathering around the camp fire with nibbles and damper. Quite, clean, interesting and just a great place to stay. There are unusual decorations all around the campsite and the sites are roomy. Come and see for yourself.

Exceptional

Staying in Mt Morgan is serene and silent (with only the sound of birds) and much better value compared to Rockhampton down the hill. There is an excellent kitchen attached to the cabin row, the cabin itself was perfectly comfortable, and sitting on the verandah to eat, with the fragrance of flowers on the jasmine winding itself up the verandah pillars was delightful. I appreciated the tidbit of Malaysian layer cake as a small unusual offering in the cabin fridge. Thanks Debbie and Dave.

So great we stayed two nights!

Silver Wattle Caravan Park is fantastic. David and Debi have created a wonderful atmosphere at their charming park with interesting gardens full of memorabilia and quirky artefacts. Debi gifted us fresh eggs that we cooked for breakfast in the well equipped and rustic camp kitchen. With a pizza oven in the camp kitchen, Debi and David hosted a pizza night to which all campers were invited. Pizzas were hand made and delicious and complimentary! Amenities are spotless. The park is only a short drive to everything to see in Mt Morgan and is very quiet. It’s worth a trip to Mt Morgan just to stay at Silver Wattle Caravan Park.

Found A Gem

After deciding to head inland from Rockhampton we booked for one night at the Silver Wattle in Mount Morgan. Such a lovely surprise, warmly welcomed by Dave and Debi and helped with positioning our van. The park is very well maintained with lots of interesting old farm machinery on display. Happy hour was 10/10 with the hosts providing pizza and damper, good company and a warm fire. This park is a must stay. Oh, reasonably priced and spotless amenities as well.

Such a friendly park

Beautiful spot. Only stopped for one night. We wished it was for more. nOur host were warm and friendly. nThe amenities were spotless. nHappy hour each night in the camp kitchen. nOpen log fire, boy it was fun. Our host even supplied hot nibbles. Im told it varies every night. nWill be back again but for longer this time.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the Outside BBQ

Our location was fantastic. Staff was friendly and obliquing. Lovely personal touches like Flowers on the Bed with the Towels and Good Toilet Paper. Would recommend you to anybody.

Great Cabin and Terrific Hosts

Had 2 nights in one of their Double ensuited cabins. It was very clean and had everything you needed. The park was very well kept and the owners, Dave and Deb could not do enough to help. They were always around and in the evening put on a BYO happy hour. The food they provided was great although not expected. Definitely recommended.

Reasonably quiet. Very clean amenities and spacious sites.

We enjoyed our camping stay at Silver Wattle. The owners put a lot of work into making the camp kitchen, amenities and the garden very interesting and fun. Lots of rusty old implements, tools and gee gaws all around the grounds. Close to town as well.

Quaint & Quirky. A nice experience.

Our experience was much the same as John Beulah W October 2020 review. ( A Must Read )nWe came into Mount Morgan to visit a friend en route north. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smiling Debbie. Checked in for an overnight stay & was presented with 4 fresh eggs for the next mornings breakfast. nDave promptly accompanied us to our caravan site and proved to be an excellent ‘dogman’ guiding us in. nSettled in, we were then invited to happy hour by some of the passing friendly folk. nIntroductions made, conversations followed. nDebbie & Dave very generously provided tasty flat breads out of the pizza oven located in the camp kitchen & damper from the fire & joined in on the chat.nThere is a lovely culinary herb garden for guests to use. Dog friendly, Amenities are clean & tidy. Interesting old historical ornaments placed about in well maintained gardens to discover. Traffic noise was not a problem. nWe had a peaceful nights rest & like other’s, we were ‘waved off’ by the very kind & generous hosts. nThanks D&D for a wonderful stay.nWarm regards,nJo & Wayne.n8/10/2020

Overnight stay powered site

Host Debbie and Dave were fantastic nArrived without booking, powered site available. Great happy hour recommend staying here even if touring rocky area .nWonderful host with genuine interest in local area.

Terrific Friendly Quiet and Lovely

We stayed for week over Christmas in the Sapphire Cabin which is just gorgeous. Debi and Dave were lovely friendly hosts and we joined them and two other couples for Christmas day in the very well equipped camp kitchen. This park is a hidden gem and a lovely quiet happy place. The park is pet friendly and very welcoming. I would highly recommend if you are travelling near Mt Morgan to stay here. Thank you Dave and Debi :-)

Interesting history in Mt Morgan to be learned. We shall return

Silver Wattle is AMAZING. Owners welcomed us by using our first names - How often does that happen?? Cleanliness was best we've ever encountered. Fresh frangipani flowers in spotless well-appointed unit. Surrounds have antique collectables and historic machinery everywhere - so interesting. Gardens well-kept, neat stone work, fresh woodchip, shady trees - not a leaf out of place! Our units were named Silver, Gold, Lead & Copper - great start. Railway Station a must-visit - Tourism Volunteers unbelievable. Appreciating the efforts and wisdom of our Pioneers must be passed down our generations. Recommend Silver Wattle for couple of days, preferably more.

Travel

This is an amazing caravan site. We had the most fabulous Friday night. A caravan camp fire kitchen with home cooked Asian beautiful food and only a very small cost for delicious yummy food plus dessert and lots of jokes. Wasn’t sure when we pulled in as I am not a fan of small caravan parks but what a bonus. I am more than willing to give these a go now. Congratulations. Silver Wattle Mount MORGAN. Fabulous??????????

Very good

Lovely location, very scenic and peaceful. Dave and Debi from Silver Wattle Caravan Park were very nice and accommodating.

Great place! Quiet, clean and not 1001 rules!

We live in Rockhampton but had a Waterski event at the dam and chose to stay in Mt Morgan instead. Cabins were comfortable, clean and tidy. Beautiful spot. Owners Dave & Debbie couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming, nothing was an effort! We will definitely be staying again in the future as long as we can hold our events there!!! Fantastic common use area and even a huge BBQ on the verandah of the cabins. The best part was, there weren’t many rules, we’ve been to others that have rules plastered everywhere.

Superb

This is a place like no other. It has so much character and a relaxed atmosphere, we are glad we didn't book a cabin anywhere else in that area.

Where to stay at Mt Morgan

We were welcomed by Dave and Deb, allowed to pick our spot and given eggs on arrival. Amenities were spotless. Happy hour lasted for 3 hours. Deb supplies nibblies for happy hour! Quirky, clean and friendly park. Loved it. Would return anytime.

One of the best

We have been travelling for 18months with our van and stayed in over 60 parks and this has to be up there with the best of them. A friendlier welcome you would be hard to find and the free eggs for breakfast were a lovely touch. Dave and Debi are the kind of hosts that others should aspire to be. Immaculate amenities, low cost laundry and overnight charges all added to the reasons for choosing this park. The campfire happy hour brought another few surprises with Debi’s home made sausage rolls and damper handed generously around to all. We would have loved to have stayed longer but time did not permit this time but we will definitely be back. Recommended without a single reservation.

Best caravan park

Welcomed by Dave & Deb at this great park. Very clean amenities, great big laundry, excellent quaint camp kitchen & free sausage sizzle around the camp-fire with friendly guests. Free eggs on arrival and so much more. I would highly recommend.

Tranquil secluded Mountain retreat for Travellers

Great quiet place

Staying at the Silver Wattle was a great choice, the owners make you feel welcomed, and the grounds are kept neat and tidy. Amenities are excellent and clean; even the tp tickets are top-notch. I highly recommended this place.

Great little park with wonderful hosts.

An immaculately kept park with newly refurbished gardens and a historic machinery and bric-a-brac display throughout. Hosts Dave and Deb are very helpful and nearly always out and about in the CP, stopping always for a chat and ensuring your stay is enjoyable. Great camp kitchen set up. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem. Just fantastic

This is one of the best caravan parks we have stayed in. Unfortunately we could only spend 1 night.nDave and Debbie are excellent hosts.nThey organise an happy hour around a fire pit and cook pizzas (really nice pizzas) and damper in a camp oven.nFacilities are very clean and the park is well maintained and plenty of room. They also have plenty of old tools, equipment and other knick knacks everywhere on display.nWe decided not to pull the kitchen out for breakfast. The camp kitchen is well stocked and all you need is food.nNext time we will stay a week.nIts just a little gem.

FANTASTIC!

On our way home, after travelling with friends for a month and staying in MANY caravan parks, we spent a night at the Silver Wattle Caravan Park on the outskirts of Mount Morgan. We were met on arrival by Dave, who introduced us to his lovely wife, Debbie. After the formalities, we were presented with 4 fresh home-made eggs!nDespite being very dry, the park was immaculate, obviously well-loved lawns and gardens. The position beside the main road was no problem at all, even though we chose sites right there. There was not much traffic noise at all, and it died down completely during the night.nAfter settling in, we joined other guests at the interestingly decorated camp kitchen, socialising around the campfire and were then surprised by a delicious plate of snacks, prepared by Debbie.nAmenities are oldish, but VERY clean and comfortable, with fantastic showers! nOn departure, we were waved off by Dave and Debbie.nIt was wonderful staying in a park with such personal service and comfortable amenities.nI have no hesitation in recommending this caravan park, whether for a short or longer stay.nBeulah Walkern12/10/2020
